Sarita Oré

Sarita Oré is a Ph.D. student in the Economics and Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests are gender, labor, and education in developing countries. Sarita holds a MA in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia, and a BA in Economics from Universidad de San Marcos, Peru. Currently, she is investigating whether providing information about gender-based violence can reduce the prevalence of violence at schools and improve educational outcomes in Mozambique. She is also studying the long-term effects of having a healthy early childhood in Peru.
