Saloni is a PhD student in Economics and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. She started her career as an engineer but felt home in the education sector as a teacher, entrepreneur, and policy consultant to the government. She is currently looking at the research on the rise of low income private schools and growing usage of EdTech in India. As a young adult, she took a train journey of 9000 km for 20 days around India and saw how grassroots movements are making people's lives better and that experience gave her inspiration for her career choices. Saloni is a certified yoga teacher and is a regular Buddhist Vipassana meditator. She holds a Masters in International Education Policy Analysis from Stanford University
