Sam Abers

Sam is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Chicago studying both Public Policy and Economics with a Data Science specialization. He is especially interested in applied economic and policy research, and is excited to be connecting the data from the text and image teams to outcomes at the MiiE Lab. As a child, Sam loved books that took him to new and imagined times and places, and some of his favorite authors were Terry Pratchett, Jules Verne, and Tolkien. Exploring these rich worlds through reading sparked a lasting curiosity and love of learning.
